This Privacy Policy explains how Atid Ivri ("we," "us," the "Service") — a daily Hebrew-language news-and-learning app at atidivri.web.app — collects, uses, and protects information when you use it. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information. Reading the daily edition, translating words, and building flashcards work anonymously — an account is required only to purchase or restore a Premium subscription.

Information we collect

Account information — if you sign in to subscribe or restore Premium, we use Firebase Authentication and receive your email address (and, if you use Google Sign-In, your basic Google profile such as name). We use this only to identify your account and link your subscription.
Subscription information — if you subscribe, our payment processor Stripe handles your card details; we never see or store your full card number. We store a Stripe customer identifier and your subscription status (active, trialing, canceled) to grant Premium access.
Usage analytics — via Google Analytics, we collect anonymous, aggregated usage events (for example: app opened, a story read, a word looked up or saved, audio played, a study session) and standard technical data (device type, browser, approximate location from IP, referring source). This helps us improve the content and the app.
On-device data — your settings, reading progress, saved words/flashcards, and study history are stored locally on your device (in your browser or app storage) and are not sent to us.
Optional lead information — if you enter your email on our public proficiency test, we store that email to follow up; it is not shared publicly.

How we use information

To provide the Service, grant and manage Premium access, and process subscriptions.
To understand usage and improve the content, difficulty levels, and features.
To communicate with you about your account or subscription.
To maintain security and prevent abuse.

Service providers we share with

We share limited data only with providers that operate the Service on our behalf:

Google / Firebase — authentication, database, hosting, and analytics (Google Privacy Policy).
Stripe — subscription payments (Stripe Privacy Policy).

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Cookies & local storage

We use local storage to remember your settings and progress, and analytics cookies/identifiers to measure usage. You can clear these through your browser or device settings.

Data retention & your choices

We keep account and subscription data while your account is active. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by contacting us (see below). Deleting your account cancels Premium.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the in-app "Manage subscription" link (the Stripe customer portal).
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, delete, or opt out of certain processing of your personal data; contact us to exercise them.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

International users

We operate from the United States; by using the Service you understand your information may be processed in the United States.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
